Not sure which API plan fits your usage or what your API calls will actually cost? APIFreaks provides two free API pricing tools — no account required. Open the Pricing Calculator and choose the tab that matches what you need:
- Plan Suggestion — enter your expected monthly API request volume across one or more endpoints and get the best-value API subscription or pay-as-you-go plan for your usage.
- Price Estimation — select a credit plan and an API endpoint to calculate your exact API request cost per 1,000 calls on monthly and yearly billing.
Plan Suggestion Calculator
Use this API plan estimator when you haven't chosen a plan yet. Enter which API endpoints you need and your expected monthly request volume — the calculator recommends the most cost-effective API plan that covers your total credit usage. The plan recommendation updates in real time as you add or adjust endpoints.

How to Use It
- Plan Type — choose Subscription Plan (billed monthly or yearly; API credits refresh each month) or One-Off Plan (credits purchased once, never expire). Your plan type filters the API pricing options shown.
- Add Endpoint — select an API endpoint from the dropdown (e.g., IP WHOIS Lookup, Currency Converter, Domain WHOIS). This is the API you plan to integrate and call.
- Estimated Requests Per Month — enter your expected monthly API call volume for that endpoint. The API plan recommendation on the right recalculates as you type.
- Add more endpoints — click the + button to add another API endpoint with its own monthly request estimate. Repeat for every API in your stack so the plan recommendation reflects your full API usage.
Reading the Suggestion
The Suggested Plan panel on the right gives you a complete API plan comparison at a glance:
- Plan name— the lowest-priced API plan whose credit allowance covers your total estimated monthly API usage (e.g., "80,000 API Credits").
- Monthly and annual pricing — both API plan prices shown side by side. The annual price has the full monthly-equivalent cost crossed out to highlight the discount, plus a 2 months free badge.
- Allowed Credits — monthly API credit allowance included in the plan.
- Remaining Credits — API credits left over after your estimated usage. A large buffer means a lower-tier plan may suffice; a small buffer means you are near the API credit limit.
- Surcharge Allowed Credits — additional API credits available if you exceed your plan allowance mid-cycle (subscription plans only).
- Surcharge Rate — cost to unlock each block of overage API credits (e.g., $5 / 20,000 credits).
When you're ready, click Signup to Buy in the suggestion panel to go straight to checkout — no need to search the API plan listings manually.
Price Estimation Calculator
Use this API cost calculator to find out exactly what a specific credit plan costs you per 1,000 API requests on a given endpoint. Select a plan by its credit count and an API endpoint — the calculator shows the effective API request cost on both monthly and yearly billing so you can see what you get for your money before purchasing.

How to Use It
- Plan Type — choose Subscription Plan (recurring API billing) or One-Off Plan (pay-as-you-go API credits).
- Select Plan— pick an API credit plan from the dropdown (e.g., "1,500,000 API Credits"). The list shows subscription tiers when Subscription Plan is selected, or one-off credit plans when One-Off Plan is selected. A Signup to Buy button appears right next to the dropdown so you can purchase immediately.
- Select API Endpoint — choose the API endpoint you want to estimate costs for (e.g., Bulk Domain WHOIS Lookup). On individual API documentation pages this field is pre-filled automatically.
- Average Lookups Per Request — enter the average number of items you send per API call (default: 1). Relevant for bulk API endpoints where each request processes multiple items at once.
Reading the Result
The Price Estimate panel updates instantly and shows the effective API cost per 1,000 requests for the selected plan and endpoint:
- Subscription plan— two API pricing figures side by side: cost per 1,000 requests on the monthly plan and on the yearly plan (e.g., "$1.20 per 1000 requests on monthly plan" / "$1.00 per 1000 requests on yearly plan"). Yearly API pricing is always lower because the annual plan equals 10 months of billing.
- One-Off plan — a single API cost per 1,000 requests based on the one-time purchase price of the selected credit block.
Switch between credit plan tiers or toggle between subscription and pay-as-you-go — the API cost estimate recalculates immediately.
Subscription vs One-Off Plans
Both API plan types work with both calculators. Here's how they compare:
| API Subscription Plan | Pay-As-You-Go API Credits |
|---|
| API Credits | Refresh monthly | Never expire |
| Billing | Monthly or yearly (yearly = 2 months free) | One-time purchase |
| Best for | High-volume, recurring API integrations | Low-volume or sporadic API usage |
