Aggregators resell other people's APIs. We built ours, which is why we can put a real SLA on them and tell you exactly whose data you are getting.
| APIFreaks · first party | A marketplace | |
|---|---|---|
| Who builds the API | We do, every one of them, ourselves. | Third-party vendors, aggregated into one catalogue. |
| Data provenance | Known and attributable for every API. | The operator behind each API is not always disclosed. |
| Who answers a technical question | The engineer who wrote it. | The platform, then the provider. |
| Service guarantee | 99.99% uptime SLA, written into our terms. | Uptime advertised; rarely a documented SLA. |
| API conventions | One pattern, everywhere: same auth, same error shape. | Whatever each provider chose. |
| Credits and quota | One balance for every API. | Held separately per API. |
| Commission | None. You pay only for the usage itself. | A markup on top of the vendor's own price, added on every call. |
| Agent use | The same surface for every API. | Limited by the least consistent listing. |
Running production APIs since 2018, bootstrapped, profitable, and 100% customer-funded.
Trusted by engineering teams worldwide
APIFreaks is the umbrella over our own products. Every quote is shown with the product the customer actually uses.
ipgeolocation.io · an APIFreaks product
IP intelligence platform: geolocation, ASN, proxy/VPN and threat detection, plus timezone and astronomy data, as APIs or downloadable databases.
Trusted by Amazon, SpaceX, Verizon, Toyota and Atlassian, among others on the wall of trust
“The team was super helpful, knowledgeable and the tool is easy to integrate. We are seeing incremental traffic directed to the right country, and volume has increased in acquisition.”
whoisfreaks.com · an APIFreaks product
Domain and IP intelligence platform: WHOIS, DNS, SSL, domain reputation and typosquat detection, live and historical, via API or downloadable database.
Trusted by Cisco, Deloitte, Kaspersky, OpenAI, Binance and HubSpot, among others on the wall of trust
“I like Whois API, it has almost all the required info we need related to any API or domain, be it history, names, mails or expiry date! It's best if you want to dig deeper for business use cases.”
currencyfreaks.com · an APIFreaks product
Currency exchange-rate API covering 1,030 currencies (166 fiat, 860 crypto and 4 precious metals), for live conversion, historical data and forex time series.
Trusted by HP, Gartner and the University of Georgia, among others on the wall of trust
“What we like best about CurrencyFreaks is how simple and reliable the API is. The data is consistently accurate, the integration process was straightforward, and the response times are fast.”
screenshotapi.net · an APIFreaks product
Website screenshot API running a real, managed Chromium browser, for full-page or viewport captures in PNG, JPG, WebP or PDF, with automatic ad and cookie-banner blocking.
Trusted by Netflix, LinkedIn, Vercel, Samsung and MongoDB, among others on the wall of trust
“Before ScreenshotAPI, I was building the screenshot system on VPS by myself. What makes it stand out is how supremely easy it is to code against.”
commoditypriceapi.com · an APIFreaks product
Real-time and historical price data for 240+ commodities in 150+ quote currencies, including gold, silver, WTI and Brent crude, through a developer-first JSON API.
Trusted by Valona Intelligence, Rebel Oil and Tía, as featured on its homepage
“We were using different sources just to pull gold spot prices and Brent crude futures, which was a pain to keep synced. This API let us combine both into a single endpoint with no lag, even during heavy trading hours.”
100+ APIs across 20+ categories. Search it, or let an agent discover it from the specs.
More and more of our traffic arrives with no human reading the response: agents, pipelines, scheduled jobs. That makes provenance the whole question. When a lookup comes back wrong, you need to know whose data it was and who is fixing it, not which vendor to escalate to.
So we run the whole stack. All 100+ APIs are products we build and operate ourselves, which means one team is accountable for the data, the uptime and the fix. That is a promise a reseller cannot make, however large the catalogue.
Our job is to be the layer you stop thinking about, and to still be that layer when your software, rather than your team, is the thing making the calls.
We started building APIs in 2018 for our own client work, and shipped the first one, ipgeolocation.io, that same year.
APIFreaks operates these products. Each one is proven with its own customers, and every API is reachable here, on one key.
Every plan gets the same 100+ APIs, free tier included, so no API sits behind a higher price. What changes is how you pay for usage: One-Off Credits that never expire, monthly or yearly Subscription Credits that reset each cycle, or organization plans for teams. Not sure which fits? Use the pricing calculator to see what it costs based on your actual usage and volume.
Best suited for anyone who needs a one-time credit top-up.
Best suited for anyone who wants the lowest cost per credit.
Best suited for anyone who wants flexible, month-to-month access.
10,000 credits on signup. No card required. Works the same from your code or your agent.
